Strawberries are the first association that summer is on our very doorstep, so now is the time when you can find them on every corner, in every shop.
There is nothing delicious than juicy, red strawberries that melts in your mouth.
In combination with chocolate, cream and dough, you can make fantastic dishes and everyone will require your recipe.
Strawberries are sugar-sweet, affordable, and omnipresent — even if you can’t pick your own, you’ll find pints and quarts of them at roadside stands and red seas of them in the produce aisle. These berries are delicious on their own, sprinkled with sugar, or in breakfast recipes, desserts, and even salads.
- Strawberries with chocolate and pistachios
- 200g strawberries
- 100g dark chocolate
- ½ cup finely chopped or crushed pistachios
Melt the chocolate in a small bowl. Wash the strawberries, clean them and dry them well. Soak them in more than half chocolate, then roll them in the crushed pistachios. Arrange on a baking paper in a pan and cool them at least 1 hour.
2. Strawberry sorbet
- 500g fresh strawberries
- ¼ cup sugar
- 100g orange juice
Minced the sugar in a blender, then gradually add the strawberries. Finally add the orange juice. Mix well and freeze it in the fridge. Serve scoops of ice cream, decorated with mint.
3. Strawberries stuffed with Oreo
- 8 Oreo cookies
- 30g cream cheese
- 8 large strawberries
- 100g dark chocolate
Grind Oreo cookies and mix with cream cheese until you get a thick paste. Carve the strawberries and fill them with the mixture. Put the top into melted chocolate. If desired, roll them in ground Oreo cookies or nuts. This is one of everyone favorite recipe with strawberries. Also, it is very easy to make. Try it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.
4. French toast with strawberries and Nutella
- 6 slices of white bread for toast
- 1/2 cup finely chopped strawberries
- ½ cup Nutella
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- some butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
Mix the egg with the milk. Squeeze the slices of bread with a rolling pin and cut the edges. Apply the Nutella, place the strawberries and wrap them like pancakes. Secure with toothpicks. Coat in the egg with milk and fry a few minutes until they became rosy and Nutella starts to melt. Serve with some fresh strawberries and put some powdered sugar.
5. Cocktail of gin and strawberry
Ingredients for 1 cup:
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¼ lime
- 3 fresh strawberries, 2 cleaned and finely chopped 1 for decoration
- 50ml gin
- Mineral water with flavor optional
- fresh mint
In a tall glass mix the 2 finely chopped strawberries with sugar and drain the lime upon them. Wait a few minutes until the sugar is melt, stir and pour the gin. Finally add the sour water and decorate with remaining strawberry and fresh mint.
