      Powdered cinnamon, has a tendency to thicken and take on an unappetizing texture, and become slimy. If you want to avoid that try using cinnamon sticks.

      Leave it in the water until it cools down a little and then you can remove it. Cinnamon sticks can actually be used several times before they lose their flavor. To reuse your cinnamon stick, simply rinse under hot water then allow it to dry. To get the best flavor from your cinnamon stick the next time you use it, run it over a grater a few times to release the flavors. The average size for cinnamon sticks is 3″- 4″, there are bigger ones about 6-7″ long but you don’t need those. And yes it is okay to buy cinnamon sticks from grocery store.       Claudia, my mother is a diabetic as well. Cinnamon generally brings your sugar down rather than bringing it up, and honey is healthy in moderation (plus there are so many benefits!). I would think that this particular drink would be good a diabetic, but you might want to consult your Dr. first seeing as they are more familiar with your case whereas I’m just familiar with in general and my mom’s diabetes.

    I am hoping for a quick response back Please. How long after I drink the mixture in the morning can I eat breakfast? I just ate some eggs after an hour after I drank the mixture. It doesn’t say in the article . Also it said container not Pot too boil the water and cinnamon in. Thank you.

    I noticed that no response is given to the questions asked about if this really works. I don’t think it works by itself. A proper diet and exercise program should be used also for this to be effective

    Just wondering, every morning Insteep green tea and a cinnamon stick for 3-5 minutes. Ten I remove both and add lemon juice from a half slice of lemon and I put a heaping teaspoon of raw honey. I can’t drink it room temperature but I have it a bit warm and I drink the full cup and before going to bed I have another one. Should I be doing it differently? I would not be able to put it in the fridge over night it would be way to cold to drink. The water has to be somewhat warm for the raw honey to melt. Would you please let me know what Iam doing wrong? Do you have a cleansing of the colon recipe? I eat enough fibre and drink a lot of water but I have a hard time with constipation because of a medication I am taking. They put a note there for me to have to take 2 Senekot-S 3 times a day but there are still times I have to force myself and I never feel like I am fully empty. My doctor has checked me with a colonoscopy and Correctal examination and there is nothing wrong. I have been like that for as long as I can remember. So I would love to do a cleansing, maybe drink all juice and water for a couple of days. Is there a cleansing recipe I can do?
