Youth elixir

– 1 garlic bulb

– 2 lemons (one peeled, the other one not peeled)

– 500 grams of honey

– 100 ml flaxseed oil (cold pressed, organic)

First, wash the lemons and peel one of them. Put them in a blender and mix. After that, peel the garlic bulb and blend it too. Combine all the ingredients and mix them to get a homogenous mass.  Store the elixir in a glass container, close it with a lid and keep it in the refrigerator.

Consume one tablespoon of the elixir, three times a day, half an hour before each meal.

Why is this elixir so efficient?

Lemon juice is naturally rich with fruity acids and natural sugars. Lemon juice contains a number of beneficial nutrients, which helps to improve the health of the skin and body. It can be used internally for many health benefits and used externally for many skin care products. Lemon is fantastic for the skin. The natural acids of lemon gently remove dead skin cells and lighten age spots, unwanted freckles and clears facial discolorations. The acidity content absorbs the oiliness and cleans the pores without stripping the skin of its natural oil balance.

Skin is made of protein and requires protein to restore its health. The omega-3 protein found in flaxseed oil smooths the appearance of wrinkles by helping to repair skin cells. As we age our skin shrinks and flattens out, losing its bounce – the protein and essential fatty acids in flaxseed oil can help prevent this happening and stop wrinkles in their tracks.

Garlic has large amount of allicin present in it and allicin has antifungal, anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. It is also known to increase antioxidant levels of the skin and body. Sulphur present in garlic prevents infections and helps in reducing inflammation. It also enhances blood flow thus giving the skin a natural glow.

Honey’s often thought of as a healthier sweetener, but you might be surprised to learn that this ingredient has tons of skin and hair benefits, too. Made by the alchemy of bees collecting nectar, pollen, and resins from flowers, honey can help moisturize, fight aging, and fight bacteria. Plus, it’s loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and healing compounds. Next time you’re browsing the grocery store shelves, look for raw honey, which hasn’t been heat-treated or pasteurized; it contains more active phytonutrient antioxidants and enzymes for enhanced benefits.
